Cassidy Kearney graduated from Florida State University in 2021 with a Master of Science in Planning, specializing in Environmental Planning and Planning for Developing Areas. She comes from a huge and supportive family (loving parents, a brother, a sister, and 14 aunts and uncles, with an additional 30+ cousins) who encourage her through all her endeavors. Perhaps best known for her horde of pets (two cats, the family dog, a gecko, and a snake), she enjoys hammocking in the shade, traveling when possible, and trying out her new rollerskates.
After traveling through Europe in 2016, she realized that environmental planning was a passion of hers, inspiring her to pursue her master’s. Cassidy now works with the US Forest Service on the Florida Trail, combining her love of the outdoors and her new degree. When not on the trail, Cassidy acts as an editor and content writer for Dreams Abroad.
