Jacquie Truckey is from Orange County, California. She has embarked on many adventures abroad, ranging from studying abroad in Florence, Italy, to interning in Berlin, Germany, and later working in London, England. Jacquie excels as a content writer, social media marketer, and international education professional.
In May 2018, she earned her B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Advertising from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). Between her undergraduate and graduate years, Jacquie trained for her Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate from Council On International Educational Exchange (CIEE). Later, in August 2021, she received her M.A. in Communication Studies from CSUF.
Jacquie has worked in the study-abroad field for over five years, performing administrative tasks, conducting advising sessions, and planning activities in a more student-life-based role. Meanwhile, Jacquie utilizes her professional expertise in communications in combination with her experience with international travel to become a successful freelance writer and content editor. Her favorite topics to write about include studying abroad, language learning, travel tips and tricks, living overseas, and working abroad.

She has established editorial calendars and unique social media plans for non-profit organizations, higher education establishments, K-12 institutions, and lifestyle companies. She has a proven track record of researching, writing, and editing various content that engages audiences. In her spare time, Jacquie enjoys listening to true crime podcasts, walking her dog Sam, tasting new teas, roller skating at the beach, hanging out with friends at local breweries, reading, and, of course, traveling. Jacquie’s passion for travel has taken her around the world to over 14 countries and counting!
