Wasan Tawfeeq followed her dreams and moved to Tallahassee, Florida five years ago with her family to pursue her Ph.D. degree at FSU. Born and raised in Kurdistan, Iraq, Wasan brings her culture to the Florida State campus for students and staff to enjoy every day. When she isn’t sitting in classes herself, she is teaching and assisting her own students in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics within FSU. Check out our interview!
